This is a high-grade, very fine aluminium powder with a distinct flaky morphology, specifically engineered for metallurgical applications. It is a critical component used in the preparation of refractory coatings for ladles, tundishes, and launders in steelmaking and foundry operations.
The flaky structure of the powder ensures excellent coverage and high reactivity, making it an ideal exothermic agent in coating formulations.

Ladle & Tundish Coating: The primary application is as an additive in refractory coating mixes.
Exothermic Reaction: When exposed to high temperatures during the pre-heating of ladles or tundishes, the aluminium flakes oxidize exothermically. This generates intense localized heat, ensuring rapid drying and curing of the coating lining.
Prevents Skulling: The resulting coating creates a non-wetting surface, significantly reducing molten metal penetration and preventing "skull" formation (metal sticking to the refractory walls).
